Catalogs are a way to share a distinct selection of Products where the necessary product information fields are shared. Catalogs can be branded with a banner image and intro text. The recipient of a Catalog link does not need an Image Relay account to download the product information.
This article will cover creating and editing catalogs.
There are two ways to create a Catalog:
1) From within the Products view
Select desired products then Add to Catalog and select Add New Catalog in the popup window.
2) Create a Catalog from within the Catalog view.
First click Catalogs on the Products tab. This will bring you to the Catalog gallery view page.
In Catalogs view, click Add Catalog and give it a name. A description or view may be added later.
You may add a header image to the catalog and update the catalog settings with the 'Edit' button.
Optional Step: Assigning a View
Product information can be tailored for an intended audience or purpose by assigning a view to a catalog.
Views provide structure for assigned attribute groups, such as product details an advertisement may need, dimensions and pricing details for a vendor, or key features an influencer can refer to in their sponsored advertising.
Assigning a View to a catalog ensures the recipient only has access to the data they need, cutting the clutter and providing only the product data necessary for that catalog’s purpose.
A catalog's assigned view can be reviewed on the top left of the catalog's page and changed in Settings by clicking edit:
