Image Relay supports synchronization between the Product Hub and Shopify, saving time and energy from a manual import of your products to Shopify's platform. This article will outline the steps and settings necessary in both platforms to connect Shopify and Image Relay.
Shopify Setup:
Setup in Shopify requires you to create the space for Image Relay by navigating to Settings (in the lower left)> Apps and Sales Channels> Develop Apps.
The Shopify setup process includes:
1. Creating and Naming the App
2. API Configuration
3. API Credentials and the one-time token required for connection (This token is needed for setup in the Image Relay platform)
1. Creating and Naming the App
After navigating through Settings> Apps and Sales Channels> Develop Apps, select Create an App (in the top right) and name it ImageRelay. You will then be prompted to name it App-Image Relay.
2. API Configuration
Navigate to Configuration> Admin API integrations> Configure
Search for products, and select the write_products and read_products boxes and click the Save button.
3. Receive and SAVE your API credential token
Navigate to API Credentials> Install App> Reveal Token (Copy and save this token- it's only revealed once)
Save your token somewhere safe, it will only be shown once in Shopify. You will need this token in the next steps to connect it to the Product Hub in Image Relay.
