It's valuable to know as an admin how to navigate from designing a template, to locking its elements, and reviewing how users would interact with it as a project.
This article will cover how to navigate to Configuration mode from Design Mode and the locking capabilities of elements that you are able to set.
Mode Navigation
In the Editing view, you can switch modes by going to the lock icon in the righthand side of the editing window.
By turning locking on, you can decide which aspects of the template you would like to lock, review, or adjust:
Design Mode: The default mode while in a project. Allows you to edit and add elements to the template. You can read more on designing your project Template here.
Configuration Mode: Allows you to lock image and text elements and orientation. You will be able to configure how much a user is able to edit a particular element, such as specifying which fonts they can use or whether brand elements are locked completely. You can read more on how to lock elements in Configuration Mode here. After configuration, select the back button above the lock switch to return to the mode dropdown menu.
User Preview Mode: Allows you to interact with the project template as a user would. It is recommended to test the template's locking settings to ensure your users have the exact access you are allowing them.
